I loved POTC. Too bad we'll never see Jack Sparrow again, he was the heart and soul of the series. Huge thanks to Hans Zimmer for producing such legendary soundtracks.

What's even more funky is that Depp was not the first choice for this role. Hugh Jackman was the director's first choice. Hence captain "Jack".

My son played drums in band since 4th grade and my favorite concert was the 8th grade spring concert which featured a Pirates of the Caribbean medley and he played snare drums. He's 30 now but this still brings tears to my eyes when I hear the music--Proud Mama.

Lady, when I was depressed and got a paranoia it was so scary. It was so horrible feeling, I never want to feel this way again or wish to someone else to feel this way... So when I was in this situation this Epic music and Jack Sparrow , lovely Johnny Depp helped me to go through it and to fight my demons. This and Matrix reloaded soundtrack. God bless the musicians and actors . They help us to be stronger, better version of us , they are a lightning what makes us soooo powerful when we are weak . It's a girt from God . So I wish your son the best ❤️

Klaus Badelt composed all the original themes in the first movie 'The Curse of the Black Pearl', not Hans Zimmer! Hans did a great job adding more themes in the other movies, but he did reuse Klaus' themes from the first movie in many instances...

He is the soul of the entire Series...without him, there is no Pirate worth looking for...

So many comments about Jack Sparrow but none about Hans Zimmer whose music you are listening to... There is no Pirates of The Caribbean withouth this epic soundtrack!
Many respect the actor few respect the music and it's composer.
I respect both Jack because he just is iconic thru the movie's especially with the rum. And the music creator for the awesome sailing music for games with ships.

I watched this film when I was 5. I watched all the movies over 20 times each and I still love watching it. Now doubt my favourite movie franchise ever!

i remember the time when i was 12 and my friend begged me to go see Pirates of the Caribbean with her. I thought it would be a dorky pirate movie but it turned out to be my favorite movie series! i think all people need to see this movie at least once.

i was raised in a religious home. i was also a girl who was suppose to be use to kitchen work and doll houses. i was obsessed with zombies and vampires, pirates and aliens, witches and trolls. i loved pirates of the Caribbean and even went through a rebellious phase of being convinced i was a pirate chick. I'm now 18 and these legends will never go to waste. my new apartment is gonna have a bookshelf with these movies.

I know how fast I am going. but put anything from the soundtrack of need for speed hot pursuit 2 on, or any epic music that gets you going, speed is forgotten. Only the gas pedal and you remain.

Jack Sparrow, sorry Captain Jack Sparrow sorry Johnny Depp - is the heart and soul of the Pirates - no matter what year it gets, he is the one because of whom the entire franchise has gained everything it has. And Hans's epic music is just top of the game.

Between 4:20-4:30, the soundtrack really mimics what was used in The Rock 1996 when Hummel enters the VX gas room. I suppose it makes sense, both films soundtrack was composed by Hans Zimmer.
